Games of the PC type

What is your favorite game on a PC? To be honest, mine is CoH/V (CoX for short). If you have another or if you agree, post it here.

I would have to agree with the General here. CoX is a very good game.

Yes. Who doesnt want to become a weird superhero/villian and try to save/destroy a cartoon world?

For me SupCom and the new expansion is tied with CoX.
Oh and can you swithch the locations of the new topic and new post buttons? I almost made a new topic several times now without realizing it.

I have heard good reports about the MMO Conan game for PC. It is a cross between CoH and Civilization. You can control one char but you have to build cities and defend them against evil comp and other human armies.

That sound like a really good game. Problem with me is that i would have to get a better graphics card and maybe some other things.

That would be Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures , it shows promise. Unfortunately the people who are making it recently made a game called 'Dreamfall', a game in which a cheerleader joins forces with an emo and a 30-yearold dude who lives in the woods and hunts crap for a living, to fight the forces of evil and keep up with the latest fashion trends. Now that I think of it,(fighting evil, buying outfits, getting together a group of crazy people) thats essentially a single player MMO.

Yeah that sounds like CoH but in another setting.
So...what does everyone think about the Ritki invasion thing on CoX

I despise all things which bring lag for no reason, so I don't like the Invasion much. Unfortunately it will never leave, just after 2 weeks it will stop being so common and only happen when somebody does a certain TF.

Well...there is a way to get out of the lag. STAY AWAY FROM THE OTHER PLAYERS! but......you tend to die quicker if you are by yourself so.........its kind of a lose/lose situation.

What is up with your computer and lagging. mine doesnt lag that much to be a problem

Before the invasion I had solved the lag problem, so this pisses me off to no end. Especially since I find the invasion itself to be boring.

Unfortuatly the invasion does become boring and even annoying after like a week or two. If they were smart they would either spice up the invasion with like a new wave of....whatever or get rid of it entirely.

I think they're supposed to get rid of it in a week or two, but whenever somebody does the taskforce associated with it, a random area will be invaded. It will also return whenever a GM/Dev gets bored.

Huh. Paragon-Wiki never said when the invasions happen. I wonder if soon Villians will start to invade Heroes and vise versa.
Here is how i picture it:
At some random time, the admin will announce that a certain area will become a PvP zone. Then some heroes/villians will go to a warp zone and go to that spot on the other game.The warp zone will be open for a short time. If anyone is defeated, they will warp back to their warp zone and cant return. They battle for a while and if the invading side can stay for the duration of the time limit, they will get x amount of xp. If the defending side can send them all away before time expires, then they get x amount of xp.

That will make for some interesting gameplay.

As of yet the only way for villains to go to Paragon(outside pvp zones) is the Rikti War Zone(its on the map included in GvE Edition) and they can only go there, except for glitches( there was once a villain char stuck in Independance Port for a while). And Heroes can't go to the Rogue Isles.(outside pvp zones). However the villains becoming heroes and heroes becoming villains feature has been put on hold so they can work on more important things, like not fixing certain missions and features that have never worked and are advertised as major features in the game, and creating events that get boring quickly to non level 50 players(see Invasion).

No. As I have said countless times before, these idiots aren't working on it, instead they are working on stuff nobody cares about. However there is a ray of light in this eternal damnation, they say thet they are working on a few features that they have promised to do, but have never done, that will come out for issue 11.

Which would be sometime between now and Ragnarok, which will happen when Bush gets drunk and accidentally presses the red button inside the glass box which will send the 500 nukes hidden only 2 miles under certain spots in the earth to everywhere else in the world and they will see this and do the same and fire it all at us. Whew, that was a long winded speech.

Russia almost did that to us when some damned Californian university sent a balloon into Russian air space. Luckily the guy who has to tell Putin these things had a guy helping him who wasn't drunk out of his mind.

In other news, The company that made Diablo 2 will be making 2 new games scheduled for release Holiday 08.
-Diablo 3
-....some other crappy game that i dont remember the name of.

The company that made Diablo 2 is making WoW expansions and D3's existance is unconfirmed(or at least I can't find anything solid about it). However the people that were fired after making Diablo 2(i.e. all of them) are split between working on some game that looks like crap and Hellgate: London, which is in essence Diablo 3.

We must pray that they do Hellgate or otherwise they will be crucified by the ppl who loved the Diablo series.

From what I've seen of Hellgate it holds.... potential.
